Since childhood, I’ve always been drawn to creating — spending hours making little hideaways and getting lost in imaginative worlds of my own. My mum was the craft mum on the block, so creativity was woven into everyday life.
I began working with children in my early teens and became a full-time nanny at twenty. Some of my most memorable moments came from the crafts we made together. I became known among the children (and their friends) for encouraging messy, expressive art and for offering the freedom to explore their ideas.
My love for clay began in 2014, when I first began my pottery practice. Four years later, I moved to Victoria, BC, to study herbalism and had the opportunity to join Hands On Clay Collective. That experience opened the door to three incredible years working in production pottery and teaching hand-building and wheel-throwing classes. My skills, knowledge, and love for clay flourished.
While living on the island, my connection with nature deepened — through my studies, exploring the incredible landscape, and learning about local plants and our relationship with the natural world.
In 2022, I returned to Calgary, where I began working with Calgary Nature Play in 2024. This work has expanded my understanding of how children learn through exploration and creativity. It’s helped me grow not only as an educator but also as a mother, showing me how free play and nature together nurture confidence, problem-solving, and curiosity.
In September 2025, I had the opportunity to co-create a nature-based art program with Amy Bye — a stepping stone toward my long-held dream of opening my own studio.
Now, here we are — bringing together years of experience, passion, and love for both creativity and the natural world. I believe that art and nature are essential to our collective well-being and that creating space for both in children’s lives helps them (and us) grow in the most meaningful ways
About Me
Studio is located in Ranchlands NW, Calgary (Mohkinstis) next to Wildflower Park where Aspen groves cocoon wild raspberries and Nootka roses. Where Nettle reminds us to be present and notice the abundant wildflowers. In winter stillness the chickadee song echoes from the lookout hills as we still find beauty. I am forever grateful to the people who were stewards of this land before my ancestors arrived and to all the people who continue to be stewards of our collective home.

Some projects are multistep and may need additional sessions to complete. If your child joins on a day when a project is mid-process, we’ll happily adapt the activities so they still enjoy a full creative experience and take home their own unique artwork.
Each month features a new theme explored through a variety of art mediums, techniques, and forms. Children will experiment with painting, charcoal drawing, clay work, natural fabric dyeing, and more.
Rather than bringing home artwork that looks like it was made by an adult, your child will create pieces that are genuinely their own. Each class provides gentle guidance to build artistic skills while encouraging creative freedom, open-ended exploration, and hands-on making with natural materials and loose parts — so their ideas can truly take flight.
Ages are listed as a guideline to suit the planned activities. If you feel your child would be a great fit for a program outside their age range, please reach out—I’m always happy to chat and find the best fit.
