Four-Week Youth Wheel Throwing Program | Ages 11-18
This welcoming four-week program introduces young artists to wheel throwing through guided instruction and creative exploration.
With just four students and four pottery wheels, each child will have their own wheel during class—an extra-special opportunity for plenty of hands-on practice, individual guidance and one-on-one learning.
Children will learn wheel throwing, trimming, surface design and glazing while creating their own functional pottery. Our small group gives each child space to build confidence, develop new skills and discover their own creative style.
November 14–December 5
Saturdays | 1:30–3:30 PM
What’s included:
Four two-hour guided pottery classes, including cleanup
A dedicated wheel for each student during class
Instruction in wheel throwing, trimming, surface design and glazing
Use of studio tools and equipment
Independent practice time each week
A 10 kg bag of clay
Glazing and standard bisque and glaze firing for finished pieces
Youth practice sessions provide time for independent exploration between classes, with an instructor available for questions and guidance. A parent or guardian must remain on-site during practice sessions. Studio equipment and wheels are reserved for the enrolled child.
$280 per student, including clay, glazing and firing.
Additional clay can be purchased if needed.
Only four spaces available!
